BATIK DAY 2025

Al-Zahra Indonesia School had a fun celebration for National Batik Day. Every student got to do a creative activity to learn about Indonesian culture. The kindergarten kids had a great time decorating small umbrellas with the own pattern. At the same time, the elementary school students learned how to make their own tie-dye. They folded and twisted cloth, then added colors to make cool and unique patterns. They were proud of the beautiful art they made themselves.
The older students in Junior High School did something really creative and good for the earth called eco-printing. They used things from nature, like leaves and flowers, to print patterns on cloth. This was a cool way to mix old traditions with caring for the environment. The best part of the day was a fashion show. They walked like models to show off the clothes they wear. This big finish showed how creative they were and helped everyone appreciate batik more, making it a special day for the whole school. It was a fun and educational experience for all students.
